Olaya House is a residential project that inspired by serenity. The project was handled by David Ramirez in 2011. The house is located in Columbia precisely near the second biggest city in Columbia, Medellin. The house is built with focused on the outdoor landscaping. It emphasizes the tenants for enjoying the outdoor. Besides of inspired by the serenity, the house is also inspired by organic home plans. So, it is not surprising that the Olaya House will catch the attentions for those who loves sustainable or natural home design.
Olaya House is designed carefully in every space. Makes the boundaries between its area including service area, social area, and private area. The organic home plan from Olaya House can be seen clearly just from its exterior. The home exterior design is created with natural earthy color reflecting openness and convenience of the house.
The home exterior is built from Milano bricks combined with huge windows that communicates indoor and outdoor design. The outdoor landscaping in Olaya House features wide terrace and park with hot tub which can be perceived as the extension of the living room. The wide terrace is surrounded by natural materials. It uses Brazilian ipe deck for flooring and pebbles besides the ipe deck.
